Altivar ATV212 Variable speed pump and fan control for HVAC systems
All general purpose variable speed drives can be used in building, but the Altivar 212 AC drive from Schneider Electric goes one better. Offering unrivalled value in installed cost and functionality for HVAC equipment, the ATV 212 is designed with buildings HVAC requirements in mind and has an impressive list of embedded buildings functions making it flexible enough for applications in ventilation, heating and Air conditioning and pumping. On board BMS connectivity is also included:
-Less noise pollution (airdraulic noise, motor noise, etc.).
-Detection of transmission component breakage.
-Smoke extraction: forced start with fault inhibition.
-Allows register management.
Heating and Air conditioning:
-Optimise control in fluid processing.
-Use of PID controller (temperature, flow rate, pressure, etc.).
-Adjustable flow rates for better energy management.
-Suppression of mechanical resonance.
-Detection of under-load, pump running dry.
-Limitation of operating time at low speed.
-Pressure surge suppression for prolonging the life of the installation.
BMS connectivity is straightforward as connectivity is made through embedded protocols which include: Modbus, METASYS N2®, APOGEE FLN P1® and BACnet®. LonWorks is available as an option. These features mean that the Altivar 212 (ATV 212) is optimised for a wide range of applications including
-HVAC supply and return fans
-Exhaust and ventilation fans
-Cooling tower fans and pumps
-Chiller water and hot water pumps
